About Grace-Based Education

Teaching Redemptively is both the title of a book and a philosophy of ministry. Donovan Graham, formerly of the education faculty at Covenant College, outlined the basics of a Reformed theology of education and its outworking in the hallways of a school.

In 2004, several faculty members at New Covenant School read Teaching Redemptively and began to adjust our classroom practices to reflect our renewed understanding of the need for Grace in the structure of education as well as its content.

New Covenant School opened its doors in 2000 to a handful of middle-school families in Anderson, SC. Now with over 120 students and a K through 12 program, the faculty has turned its attention to the outworkings of Grace in every aspect of our school.
